Just a quick share today. I’m still catching up with odds and ends after our trip. Also “fall decluttering” has hit big time. Suddenly it seems imperative that I organize everything (ok, not everything but something, you know?) So I’ve been tidying up the garden, the kitchen, the herb cupboards and herb shelfs and herb work table (jars of steeping herbs needing straining and random, empty jars and lids seem to have been multiplying behind my back). And let’s not talk about the sewing corner…which has now become corners. So, decluttering is in order if I want to feel at all creative going into the holidays. But also some time lying around outside with the kids staring at the oak leaves starting to fall. Well, I try to stare at the leaves and they scamper about and use me as a jungle gym, but it works.

I do have this farmer’s market bag to show you. I recently gifted it to my dear friend Dara for her birthday. It’s exactly like the other farmer’s market bag, only, of course, different fabric. So if you’re interested in the details, check out that post. Such a great pattern.

And I found these sweet items at the local thrift store. They were a tad big for Audrey so I cut them down to size and serged up the seams. Ta da! Cute new clothes in a whole lot less time than if I’d sewn them from scratch. I’m particularly smitten with the cardigan. She really needed a warmer, but not bulky, cover-up and she really wanted something ‘girly’. She will literally sit there shivering rather than put on something ‘not cute’. Those teenage years are going to be interesting…

But then this cardigan came along and problem solved!

And the skirt. Isn’t it cute? I want one for myself. It’s a new favorite of hers.
